This evening was Nicholas' open house at his school. (He is in 3rd grade this year.) They had just finished reading "The Ballad of Mulan" and his teacher asked the class to draw a picture representing one of the characters in the story. To make it a bit more fun and exciting she asked the class to vote for their favorite drawing and that would be the one they would display for the open house. Well, out of 20 students, 15 of them chose Nicholas' drawing. He was so excited and honored (hey, I don't mind the occasional pat on the back either.) For those of you that have had the opportunity to play Pictionary with us, you know that he obviously didn't inherit this talent from us. Way to go Nicholas!!
